		<description>Thanks for the comment. It is extremely unfortunate, but perhaps inevitable that police departments would begin using this technology as a pure automated revenue generator. 

It is easy for police to match expired registrations with plates out on the road, and then have citations mailed out without them having to get out of the car, or even be aware that it happened! These license plate scanners are now just passive revenue generators for the state.</description>
